Learn How To Make Your Own Sequin Eggs

From generation to generation, holidays have always called for the one thing we know best – crafting! I specifically remember visiting my grandmother’s house during pring and being mesmerized by these glistening, handmade sequin eggs hanging from an ornamental wire tree she used to display her thematic creations. As she put up her various Easter decorations, either in decorative bowls or dangling in thoughtful places about the house she’d share stories of making them with all of her children and grandchildren. I didn’t know then these sparkles were memories and heirlooms I’d cherish for life and someday share with my own children. As a grown up, when my friends saw the way I displayed my sequin eggs around my house, they asked for their own and wanted to know how they could make more. They in turn went on to use them as Easter basket accents or as the winning egg during their Easter egg hunts! Since then I’ve been so impressed at the many creative ways people have found to use them. That is why I set out to find a way to share this lasting treasure with all of you and the children we teach at Dragonfly Designs!

This project is the perfect artistic endeavor for a fun family craft night, children’s sleepover, or a girls night-in activity!, I know you’ll enjoy making them from start to finish. Read on for a detailed guide to creating your very own sequin Easter eggs!
