Age Recommendation

These classes are ideal for individuals 8+ years old. For the safety of the child, anyone under 8 years old must be supervised by an individual 16+ year old.

  • Your Home! This is a virtual camp that you can attend from the comfort of your home. We will use Zoom

Explore the warm and colorful world of textiles and fiber arts while creating fun projects and learning useful life skills! Techniques such as sewing, embroidery, wool felting, weaving, macrame, stamping and cross-stitch may be introduced. Students will learn to design, plan, and execute their ideas from an abstract notion into a tangible product. The cognitive benefits of learning fiber arts are numerous. It promotes relaxation and mindfulness, improves manual dexterity, and seeing a project through to the end.

This class is ideal for individuals 8+ years old. For the safety of the child, anyone under 8 years old must be supervised by an individual 16+ year old.

Projects may include the following:

– Fabric Covered Journals
– Wool Felting
– Woven Wall Hangings
– Decorative Pillows
– Zipper Pouches
– Embroidered Patches
– Decorated Tote Bags
– Tassels
– Bean Bags
– Macrame

A materials & tools kit with everything needed to complete 10+ projects is included. Kits will be mailed to participants (no additional mailing cost)
