What if I need to move my party date and/or time?
No problem at all! We allow for you to change your party date and/or time up to one time free of charge. Any additional changes beyond the one time will incur a $20 per change admin fee.
I paid a deposit & have extra guests. When is the remaining payment due?
One week before the party we will check in to obtain a final headcount. Once we’ve established the number of guests you’re expecting and any add-on services we will collect the remaining balance due prior to the party.

- San Jose, Milpitas, Saratoga, Campbell, Los Gatos: $75
- Marin County: $50
- Santa Rosa: $85
- Alameda (Berkeley, Oakland): $30
- Alameda outside of Berkeley and Oakland: $50

I’m not sure the number of individuals attending, what should I select when booking?
We suggest booking a party closest to the number of children you are expecting, and then adding on additional children if needed. We confirm with you the number of party guests one week before the scheduled event.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to reschedule we will make every effort to accommodate your request. For cancellations of three weeks or more in advance, a full refund minus a 4% credit card processing fee will be given. Parties canceled less than 3 weeks in advance are given half refunds. What are the differences between the Birthday Packages?
All of our Birthday Party Packages are appropriate for ages 5 & up, teens & tweens.
The Bling Fling 1.5 hour party package is tailored to fit your party size, either 10 or 15 participants with the opportunity to add additional participants at an added cost.
The Bling Fling Deluxe is a 1.5 hour package & includes all of the items offered during a Bling Fling and also includes colorful hair extensions, and a handmade personalized necklace, bracelet or earrings for the Birthday Girl + the ability to order more for each participant to take home with them as an additional party favor for an additional cost.
The all-inclusive Bling Fling Super Deluxe is a 2.0-hour package & includes all of the items offered during a Bling Fling Deluxe and also includes 3 Party Hosts + a handmade personalized necklace for the Birthday Girl plus one for each participant to take home with them as an additional party favor.
The One Hour Party is a more economical version of our classic birthday packages and is short, sweet and simple. At this party, your guests will have the opportunity to make jewelry for one hour. Most guests can make 1-2 pieces on average during this party type. The MAXIMUM number of guests for this party is 9 including the birthday child. Once you reach 10 guests you must upgrade to a 1.5-hour party option with 3 party hosts.
Beaded Birthday Deluxe Personalized Jewelry:
Dragonfly Designs design staff create each personalized necklace and bring them to the party completed and gift wrapped for each guest. You, the party host, help design each piece by choosing a custom charm & crystal color for each guest.
The Birthday Party To Go is a kit specially designed to fit the needs of parties outside of our service area. Includes top quality supplies, party favor pouches, tools, and instructions.
What happens during the jewelry making parties?
After an introduction, we teach the children how to design a charm bracelet and then each guest is offered the opportunity to create any number of beaded projects. (Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, hair jewelry, ankle bracelets, key chains, backpack charms, sun catchers & bookmarks are some of the options that we bring to each party.) We ensure each child makes jewelry that is a perfect fit for them. Children select from a huge array of color coordinated beads made of the highest quality materials! Our sparkle savvy “Fly Girls & Guys” are available to assist with design help, bead selection and finalizing each piece with a clasp.
Each party participant receives an organza gift pouch to store their newly handmade “party favors.” Our Fly Girls & Guys need approximately 15 minutes to set up and break down beading supplies.
My child likes the color “blue” will you be sure to have her favorite color beads at the party? What are your beads made from?
We bring a huge selection of color-coordinated beads made of the highest quality materials such as Czech glass, freshwater pearls, crystals and semi-precious gems! We have a bountiful selection of all colors of the rainbow that we bring to each party.

What is the best age to host a beading party?
At Dragonfly Designs we tailor the party to the age and interest of the children we are serving. Our highly trained staff have both a background in working with children as well as extensive jewelry making knowledge. We come prepared with everything we need to make the party a fun and engaging experience for children ages 5 and up, teens and tweens.
How much space is needed?
We have found that party guests enjoy sitting together to work on their jewelry pieces. If you have a large dining room table or kitchen table that can accommodate all party guests that is ideal.
We bring lots of beads, so the more table space that we have available the better, however we will work with what space you have!
“Fly Girls & Guys” also need a separate but adjacent surface to complete the childrens projects & display all of the beads, charms & jewelry making options. A separate countertop or foldable table works well for this purpose. Our hosts also appreciate 1 chair. We can fill a 6′ table alone with all the beads and choices that we bring!
