Fly Girl – Susan

Meet Susan!

Susan is an Art Instructor, Party Host, and Camp Counselor here at Dragonfly Designs! She says her favorite part of the job is being able to use her creativity and create beautiful pieces of artwork and sharing them with the kids she works with. She fell in love with art when she got into her Architecture program. She graduated from the Taiyuan University of Technology with a Bachelor’s in Architecture, and went to work in the field for 10 years! She loves architecture but really found herself missing working with children and practicing her own artistic skills. She doesn’t self-identify as an artist, but we all think her work with watercolors is pretty fantastic!

Susan recently attended our kid’s yoga instruction session and said she felt like she was really excited about what she walked away with — she said she figured out how to even better understand how each kid is feeling and what they need, and then how to adjust the lesson plans accordingly! Talking about body awareness and our limitations with our bodies relates directly to our learning abilities and comfort levels.

Her favorite project to make with the kids is working on Art Journals. She loves seeing kids use different materials and create beautiful artwork themselves. She enjoys it because she can use her creativity to help them explore their own. In her free time, Susan likes to cook for her family. She enjoys testing out new recipes and getting great results that please her loved ones.

Susan’s Favorite Quote:

“The best and the most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” – Helen Keller
