Amy is our go-to girl for everything behind-the-scenes! Dragonfly Designs runs as smoothly as it does because she is such an amazing team player! Amy takes our camp and birthday party registrations and makes sure the staff knows all about your children. She’s basically the set crew for Dragonfly Designs and she not only sets up the infrastructure we need to function, but she does a great deal of communication with our staff to make sure your children have a wonderful and memorable experience with us!
She says her favorite part of the job is organizing all of the data — she’s got one of those brains where she can see names, numbers, and details and turn them into people and situations that are well cared for and well-loved. That’s why we appreciate her so much!
As one of our remote workers, Amy doesn’t get to work with the kiddos in San Francisco and San Diego, but she loves seeing all the photos after the parties, classes, and camps! Amy actually has her own small business where she makes signs for her local community! She and her husband live in Indianapolis with their three black cats, Boomer, Joey, and Carl. She loves to spend her evenings with her “sassy and clever husband” (Don’t you love that description? We sure did!) and their fur babies. She and her husband love going to Brian Wilson and Beach Boys concerts, even though they don’t spend very much time in California itself. Music is truly universal!
We asked Amy what her favorite quote is, and she said:
“Every artist was first an amateur.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
A fun fact about Amy:
Amy LOVES to cross-stitch! It’s her absolute favorite hobby. When she’s not cross-stitching, jamming out to the Beach Boys, or making signs, she and her husband love to go ride roller coasters!
Here are some of her creations!
Something that inspired Amy recently:
“Lately my parent’s lake house has been inspiring me as well as plants. My parents live on a smaller lake up in northeastern Indiana and we spend about every other weekend up there with them. We enjoy playing games on their covered deck (the sun is HOT!) and just sitting and enjoying the view. I’m enjoying all the colors right now of flowers and we are working on landscaping our home here in Indianapolis.”
